Mann’s Chinese Theater, Santa Monica Pier, Koi, Disneyland, Rodeo Drive, Saddle Ranch….

Okay, now that all that’s out of your system and you’ve decided to be an Angelino rather than a tourist, it’s time to see what living in LA is all about. “And what exactly is it about?,” you ask? While it might be easy to say that it’s about getting behind any and every velvet rope, once you’ve been in LA long enough you come to realize that it’s more about finding the little, hidden gems throughout the city…The Brentwood Country Mart, Runyon Canyon, you’re favorite brunch spot…and Sunday Movie Night at The W in Westwood. For those of you who need a change of pace/something a little more shi shi than the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, the W in Westwood has extended their dinner and a movie series into the summer and moved the party outside. Sunday evenings all summer long they’ll be showing retro films at their WET pool. Upcoming screenings include Election (June 28th), Tommy Boy (July 5th), and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (August 2). Admission is free and open to anyone. The chaise lounges are first come, first serve and cabanas have to be reserved ahead of time. (Dinner reservations must be booked to sit in a cabana and it’s a minimum of $100.)Outside food is prohibited, but food is available from their Backyard Restaurant along with a festive selection of drinks including Adult Sno Cones. Doors open at 7pm and the movies begin at sundown.
